~ what to know before your visit ~

appointment requests

Appointment requests will be responded to within 72 hours of the request. Appointment requests made for appointments within 72 hours will be responded to as promptly as possible. 

 

Approvals and Email responses are done Tuesday-Friday from 10am-6pm. Feel free to message me whenever, just know I won't be responding outside of these hours unless it's urgent <3 

getting here

You can find the studio in Lakeview East, Chicago on Broadway and Surf. I'm a salon suite located within Salons By JC in suite 16. The pedestrian entrance is on Broadway and you can take the elevator to floor 2

 

We have a validated parking lot $7/3hrs or $11/12hrs Park near the North Entrance and take the elevator down to floor 2.

 

Our garage uses Metropolis Parking online and it's very convenient, once you set up your account you're able to drive in and out with the system automatically charging your card upon exit. Don't forget to validate your parking with the proper QR code before leaving. Ask me for more details <3 

Public Transit: You can get to us by using the 22, 151, or 36 buses. Both the Diversey and Belmont Red/Brown/Purple line stops are about a 15 minute walk away. 

Pro Tip: You can also find paid and free street parking in the neighborhood east of Broadway. The streets west of Broadway are mainly permit parking past 6pm so if you have a daytime appointment you may be able to find free parking    ;)

cancellation policy 

I ask that you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment. Appointments canceled within 48 hours are subject to a 50% cancellation fee for their scheduled services. 

 

Services that are canceled within 48 hours and rescheduled within 2 weeks (or soonest available) or services canceled due to illness or emergency are not subject to a cancelation fee. 

I allow a 15 minute grace period for all late appointments. After 15 minutes we cannot guarantee enough time any or all scheduled services. 

 

No-show appointments are noted and clients with a no-show history will be required to book with a credit card in order to secure their services and be charged 50% of their missed scheduled services as a cancellation fee.

How do I book an appointment?

If you're looking to book at my studio in Chicago, you can use my online booking platform and select the services you would like to book. There are descriptions of each service listed on both my Chicago Booking and Service pages.

I'm nervous or not sure what to ask for?

You're not alone and every appointment includes a thorough consultation. We won't proceed with any service before both you and I have an understanding of the style and price of the service. 

Bring inspiration or just vibes. I'll help guide you into something that feels like you!

What if I'm running late?

Things happen. Please text me if you're running behind. I can usually work with a small delay, but after 15 minutes we may need to reschedule or adjust the service. 

How should I contact you if I have questions?

Text or email work best! I don't always see my DM's in time, especially during appointments, so reaching out directly is your best bet.

​What should I do before my appointment?

You'll most likely have your hair washed before or during your service. If your hair is particularly long or thick, do your best to detangle your hair the morning of your appointment. 

Please do not wear your favorite shirt to the salon. I do my best to protect all clothing (including mine) from color or bleach damage, but it's an inevitable risk. Turtlenecks or collared shirts are also not encouraged. 

I really want to see and appreciate all of your sick fashion!! I can offer our bathrooms as a changing facility for before and after your appointment. 

Do you cut curly/fine/straight hair?

Yes! I work with all textures and will always adjust my technique to suit your hair type and goals. If you have specific questions or requests, feel free to message me beforehand.

Can I bring food/drink or my laptop?

Of course! When it comes to food and drink, I have a mini fridge stocked with water, sodas, and sparkling water. You are more than welcome to bring your own snacks and encouraged for longer appointments.

Laptops are also welcome, we have WiFi :D
